Mahar & Company, LLC — Human Rights Policy

Effective Date: April 19, 2026


Mahar & Company, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to conducting business with integrity, fairness, and respect for the dignity and rights of all individuals. We support internationally recognized human rights principles and expect the same from our clients, partners, and contractors.


1. Commitment to Human Rights

We uphold the principles outlined in:

  • The Universal Declaration of Human Rights
  • The International Labour Organization (ILO) Core Conventions
  • Applicable U.S. federal and Texas state laws

We do not tolerate any form of human rights abuse in our operations or business relationships.


2. No Forced Labor or Human Trafficking

We strictly prohibit:

  • forced labor
  • involuntary labor
  • human trafficking
  • debt bondage
  • exploitation of vulnerable individuals

We expect our suppliers, subcontractors, and partners to maintain the same zero‑tolerance stance.


3. No Child Labor

We do not engage in or support the use of child labor.
All individuals performing work for or on behalf of Mahar & Company must meet the minimum legal working age requirements.


4. Fair Treatment and Non‑Discrimination

We are committed to a work environment free from:

  • discrimination
  • harassment
  • retaliation
  • intimidation

We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.


5. Safe and Respectful Working Conditions

We promote:

  • safe working environments
  • respect for personal dignity
  • responsible business conduct

While we do not operate industrial facilities, we expect all partners and clients to maintain safe and lawful working conditions for their personnel.


6. Freedom of Association

We respect the rights of individuals to:

  • freely associate
  • join or not join labor organizations
  • engage in collective bargaining where permitted by law


7. Ethical Business Conduct

We conduct our work with honesty, independence, and professional integrity.
We avoid conflicts of interest and maintain objectivity in all engagements.


8. Supplier and Contractor Expectations

We expect all suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners to:

  • comply with applicable labor and human rights laws
  • maintain ethical employment practices
  • prevent human rights abuses within their operations

We may request documentation or verification as part of contractor or client compliance processes.


9. Reporting Concerns

Anyone who believes a human rights violation has occurred in connection with our work may report concerns to:

10. Policy Review

We may update this Human Rights Policy periodically to reflect legal requirements, industry expectations, or organizational practices.
